MLB reveals Phillies' Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber place among top-20 best-selling jerseys

Despite frustration within the fan base for not reaching the postseason and winning a World Series, the Philadelphia Phillies fan base remains as loyal and supportive as ever.

They will still buy the players' jerseys, go to games, and cheer their team on as passionately as ever. And that support can be quantified with the recent announcement of jersey sales.

As Mark Feinsand of MLB.com shared, the top-20 most popular players based on jersey sales were revealed. And for the Phillies, Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber placed in the top-20, but at slightly unexpected spots.

Phillies placements in MLB top-20 jersey sales revealed

These top-20 jersey sale rankings are "Based on sales of Nike jerseys from the Fanatics network of sites, including MLBShop.com, since the culmination of the World Series."

Schwarber and Harper are the only Phillies to be featured on this list, and their placements are a little bit more interesting than one would initially guess.

At 11th overall, and the higher ranking Phillies player, is the new $150 million man in Kyle Schwarber. He's just ahead of Harper in a mild surprise.

But, considering that he just signed a big extension to stay with the Phillies for the next five years, it's not too surprising that Phillies fans went out to buy his jersey in droves now that he was confirmed to be staying in Philadelphia.

Harper's placement comes in at 13th overall, two spots behind Schwarber. Many fans likely already have Harper jerseys, but as the Phillies leader and likely future Hall of Famer, it's not a surprise to see him on this list.

What's very interesting about this list is that Kike Hernandez, the Los Angeles Dodgers versatile fielder and postseason hero, placed 12th, right in between Schwarber and Harper on this list.

Ahead of both Phillies sluggers are Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh, Mookie Betts, Nolan Arenado, Freddie Freeman, Pete Alonso, Roman Anthony, and Pete Crow-Armstrong.

After Harper, Juan Soto, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Francisco Lindor, Ronald Acuna Jr., Paul Skenes, Josh Naylor, and Christian Yelich round out the top-20 in MLB's most popular jerseys.

The Phillies have two of the top-20 jersey sales, and more specifically, have Schwarber ranked 11th and Harper 13th in most popular jerseys since the World Series.
