Hardy, a 20-year-old running back, is in stable condition according to a statement from the football program, who added that the student-athlete had underwent surgery.

“Ahmad is deeply loved by his teammates, coaches, friends, family and fans,” the statement read.

Hardy racked up 1,649 rushing yards — to lead the SEC — and 16 touchdowns last season as he was named first-team all conference.

The Oma, Miss. native began his college career in the Sun Belt with Louisiana-Monroe before transferring to Missouri ahead of the 2025 season.

In Columbia, he was named a finalist for the Doak Walker Award, which is given to the best running back in college football.

Hardy is entering his junior season for Missouri.

It is not clear which concert he was attending, or how the shooting incident exactly unfolded.
