The series is all knotted up.
The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night to tie the Western Conference semifinal at 2-games apiece. They were helped in a big way by Victor Wembanyama's ejection.
Wemby was tossed for a Flagrant 2 foul after elbowing Naz Reid in the face.
— The Athletic (@TheAthletic) May 11, 2026The timing was a bit unfortunate, but the end result was that Wembanyama missed more than half the game.
Now, with the series even, all attention turns to Game 5.

Can Wemby play in Game 5?
Nothing is stopping Wembanyama from playing in Game 5.
The Flagrant 2 just adjudicates action on the game it happens in, not any future games.
Technically, the NBA could choose to follow up an ejection with a subsequent suspension.
This particular elbowing won't rise to that level, barring a massive surprise.
Most likely, Wemby will be out there for the opening tip-off in Game 5 ready to get some revenge.
