There's no love lost between Tate Reeves and Lane Kiffin. The Mississippi governor took a 1-word shot at the former Ole Miss Rebels head coach after his team's CFP quarterfinals win over the Georgia Bulldogs.

"Who??" wrote Reeves on X (formerly Twitter) in response to a fan asking if Ole Miss would have won with Kiffin coaching.

Tate Reeves has been vocal with his dissatisfaction over Kiffin's decision to accept the LSU Tigers head coach job. He had no issues with athletic director Keith Carter's refusal to allow Kiffin to coach the Rebels in the playoffs.

Kiffin has since attempted to extend numerous olive branches to his former employers. His actions include loaning some of his LSU staff members to Ole Miss to aid their national championship quest and regularly rooting for the Rebels in the playoffs. However, it seems like those attempts have fallen flat with Reeves still taking shots on social media.

Lane Kiffin missed Ole Miss' win over the Georgia Bulldogs

Lane Kiffin toyed with the idea of attending the Ole Miss vs. Georgia game at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The offensive guru even made a pitch to ESPN to be a part of the broadcast revolving around his former team.

However, Kiffin ultimately decided to skip the game and attend a women's basketball game between the LSU Tigers and Kentucky Wildcats. The new LSU football head coach was given a resounding applause as he stepped onto the court.

According to Yahoo Sports, Kiffin was welcomed with thunderous applause at Pete Maravich Assembly Center with Tigers head coach Kim Mulkey. It was just over an hour away from where the Ole Miss Rebels were facing off against the CFB powerhouse, the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Lane Kiffin coaching saga was one of the biggest stories at the end of the regular season. Kiffin drew out the process, finally announcing his decision to take the job at LSU, while claiming that Keith Carter denied him the chance to coach the Rebels in the playoffs. The Rebels are 2-0 under new head coach Pete Golding. Up next is a date with the Miami Hurricanes in the Fiesta Bowl.
