Tony Ferguson vs. Warren Spencer will lock horns later this evening in the co-main event of Misfits Boxing 23, with the Misfits interim middleweight title on the line. The winner of the matchup is expected to move on to unify the belts against the reigning middleweight champion, AnEsonGib.
While Ferguson doesn't boast an extensive boxing resume, he is a former UFC interim lightweight champion with wins over the likes of Kevin Lee, Edson Barboza, and Anthony Pettis.
'El Cucuy' was last seen in a third-round TKO win over popular influencer boxer Nathaniel Bustamante, aka 'Salt Papi'.
Spencer holds a record of 3-2 across his pro and exhibition boxing outings. 'The Mechanic' was last seen in a second-round knockout win over Sladan Janjanin earlier this December.
