The injury situation worsened for the Timberwolves when Bones Hyland, who replaced Edwards in the starting lineup against the Warriors, suffered an injury. Hyland, who is on a one-year, $2,461,463 contract, played just five minutes in the previous game before heading to the locker room with a right knee contusion.

The talented young guard is listed as questionable, with a final update on his status expected before tip off. If Hyland and Edwards both fail to recover in time for Sunday's encounter, young gun Terrence Shannon Jr. is likely to start with Donte DiVincenzo in the starting lineup.

Meanwhile, veteran guard Mike Conley will miss his second consecutive game with Achilles tendinopathy against Sacramento. Minnesota will also be without Joan Beringer, Enrique Freeman and Rocco Zikarsky, with all three players currently on G League assignment.
