Minecraft reveals massive community stats for 2025

2025 has been a spectacular year for Minecraft. The year started with a much-appreciated QoL game drop, Spring to Life, followed by the blockbuster A Minecraft Movie and the Chase the Skies game drop. The latter half of 2025 was no less than a spectacle, with two more amazing game drops, The Copper Age and Mounts of Mayhem.

As the year comes to an end, Mojang has followed its tradition of revealing stats achieved by the community throughout the year. On their official YouTube channel, Minecraft posted a video titled THE LONELIEST CHICKEN OF 2025, where they revealed various interesting stats such as the number of copper golems spawned, distance travelled using mounts, number of spears crafted, and so on.

The copper golem was one of the most special additions to Minecraft in 2025. After losing it in the mob vote, players were obviously stoked to find out about Mojang adding them to the game in The Copper Age. After the release of The Copper Age game drop, Mojang revealed a challenge where the community had to summon 75 million copper golems in order to win a free cape.

Without a surprise, this challenge was smashed quite easily by the fans. But what is a surprise is how many copper golems players have placed by now. Minecraft players have spawned 998 million copper golems, and it has only been three months since The Copper Age game drop released.

With the release of the Chase the Skies and Mounts of Mayhem game drops, there are lots of new mounts for players to tame. If you want to soar through the skies, we have happy ghasts. Want to swim underwater? Get yourself a nautilus. 2025 has been an incredible year for players who enjoy riding mounts, as the community has tamed over 270 million mounts.

We are definitely living in the future because saddles have now become craftable in Minecraft. Nearly 15 years after their addition, Mojang finally decided that it is a good idea for saddles to become craftable, which makes sense because of how many mounts they added in 2025. Players have crafted 16 million saddles in Minecraft this year.

With happy ghasts, elytra are not the only way to soar through the skies. Similarly, oceans have become easier to explore, as the Mounts of Mayhem game drop added nautilus, the first underwater mount. These new mounts gave players more reason to explore, and that is exactly what they did. In 2025, Minecraft players travelled 335 billion blocks on their mounts.

In the Minecraft Chase the Skies game drop, Minecraft added a neat little feature called the locator bar for multiplayer servers. When turned on, this feature shows nearby player icons on a bar above the hotbar. In 2025, the locator bar feature revealed the positions of 1,258,697,621 players (minus one, since Kai wore a carved pumpkin and avoided the poor lonely chicken).

The Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem game drop introduced a new tiered weapon called the spear. This weapon has some interesting mechanics, allowing you to deal massive damage if used correctly. According to the official reports, players have crafted over 41 million spears in less than a month since its addition. That is mind-boggling. Either players were just curious, or they already know how strong spears are.
