Min Woo Lee celebrated fellow Australian Josh Giddey’s latest NBA milestone, as the Chicago Bulls guard joined basketball legend Michael Jordan, whose net worth is estimated at $3.6 billion, in a rare franchise record.
On Tuesday night, Giddey posted 29 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists in the Bulls’ 113-111 comeback win over the Philadelphia 76ers. With that performance, he became only the second player in Bulls history, after Jordan in the 1988–89 season, to record back-to-back triple-doubles.
A day later, on Wednesday, November 5, Lee reshared the NBA’s post on his Instagram Story, adding his support for the 23-year-old guard with the caption:
“yessir 🤝 @joshgiddey”

Earlier this year, after Lee’s victory at the Texas Children’s Houston Open, Giddey was among the NBA stars to congratulate him. Dyson Daniels and Stephen Curry also sent messages of praise following his 20-under-par triumph over World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland.
Lee’s enthusiasm for basketball comes as no surprise. Despite growing up in a golf-focused family, with his mother a professional and his father a plus-handicap player, he once admitted that golf was not his first love.
“I was a bit of a rascal as a kid. I had a lot of energy, and it was hard to focus on golf. I gravitated toward sports with more action. I liked playing basketball, and I was a competitive swimmer, too,” Lee told Golf Digest. That early passion still shows. After the 2024 PGA Tour season ended, Lee was spotted on the basketball court himself. A video shared by the Min Woo Lee Tracker account on X captured him sinking a clean shot straight into the basket during a friendly game.
Min Woo Lee enjoys watching Steph Curry in action
Min Woo Lee took a break from golf last week to enjoy some basketball, attending a Golden State Warriors game and supporting his favorite player, Steph Curry. He shared glimpses of his experience on Instagram last week, posting photos from the game along with the caption,
“chef curry cookin’.”In the post, Lee included shots of his courtside view and his interaction with Curry, even posing with the NBA star’s jersey in one of the slides. His admiration for the Warriors has been evident for quite some time. Back in May, Lee reacted with a handshake emoji to one of Curry’s standout performances when the Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets 103–89.
Since turning professional in 2019, Lee has continued to build his presence on the PGA Tour. He last competed at the Baycurrent Classic, where he shot rounds of 73, 65, 67, and 68 to finish tied for 10th. In the 2025 season, he has made 17 starts, with one win, one top-10, and six top-25 finishes, missing just four cuts.
