Miami Dolphins' Head coach Mike McDaniel didn’t hide his disappointment after boos echoed through the stadium during Miami’s 28-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, calling it simply,
“It sucks. That sucks. All of that does.”
— Underdog NFL (@UnderdogNFL) October 31, 2025The Dolphins’ frustration reached a new peak Thursday night as a promising first half unraveled into another lopsided defeat, dropping them to 2-7.
Linebacker Jordyn Brooks, one of Miami’s few bright spots this season, shared his disappointment after the game.
“Even though the score was what it was, we felt like we were playing well enough to win,” Brooks said. “Until we learn how not to beat ourselves, we’re not going to win the football game.”
Miami outperformed Baltimore in nearly every first-half metric, outgaining them 225-109 in total yards and holding the ball for nearly 19 minutes, yet trailed 14-6 at the break.
Red zone failures and turnovers crushed Miami’s momentum, with three trips inside the 20 producing no points. Riley Patterson’s two field goals accounted for the Dolphins’ only scores.
Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson threw four touchdown passes and Derrick Henry piled up 119 rushing yards, including 89 after halftime, sealing the Ravens’ win and deepening Miami’s offensive woes.
Dolphins’ miscues pile up as frustration mounts inside locker room
The Dolphins’ offensive struggles resurfaced only days after Tua Tagovailoa’s four-touchdown performance in a 34-10 win over Atlanta. This time, Miami couldn’t finish drives, coming away empty on four possessions that reached Baltimore’s 25-yard line.
“I think for us offensively, it just started with the little things,” Tagovailoa said. “We’re off a little bit here, a little bit there, and we just couldn’t find our flow.”
A sequence of miscues defined the night. Tahj Washington fumbled after Miami took a 3-0 lead, setting up Baltimore’s first touchdown. Right tackle Larry Borom’s false start nullified a fourth-and-1 chance, leading to a missed 35-yard kick.
A tripping penalty erased a 36-yard completion to Jaylen Waddle, and later, a fourth-down pass sailed incomplete in the end zone. Miami totaled 225 first-half yards but only six points to show for it. Tagovailoa finished 25-of-40 for 261 yards with one interception.
After the loss, he said the team had “a heartfelt conversation” in the locker room and expects players to “come back on Monday ready to work.”
Miami now turns its attention to a home matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Nov. 9, hoping to stop a slide that has erased its early-season optimism.
