The New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers entered Friday night with a combined 61 wins.

That’s 30 for the Mets and 31 for the Dodgers.

They’ll have to wait to see who gets the next win between the two of them.

The Mets and Dodgers went to a rain delay at about 8 p.m. ET on Friday after a downpour began at Citi Field.

The game was scoreless in the top of the third. The Dodgers have runners on second and third at the time of the delay. Freddie Freeman is at the plate.

The Mets have Griffin Canning on the mound.

For the Dodgers, Clayton Kershaw has thrown two scoreless innings. He had a bumpy season debut has looked sharper so far on Saturday.

It’s been a rainy week in NYC, and it’s not obvious the weekend will be much better.

A doubleheader could eventually be in the cards, but the Mets and Dodgers would surely prefer to get this one played on Friday night.
