2025 was one of the best years in AEW star Mercedes Mone's career. The former Sasha Banks is the current and longest-reigning TBS Champion in history. Furthermore, she holds several other titles across various promotions.

The CEO recently suffered a huge setback. The 33-year-old was the RevPro Undisputed British Women's Champion for almost a year. However, she got dethroned by Alex Windsor on last week's Collision, which took place in Manchester, England.

AEW's official Instagram handle recently posted a clip from the dying moments of this showdown. This video also featured the new champion celebrating her win with her son.

Mercedes Mone responded to this clip with a funny gif. She literally crashed out.

A Christmas tree is seen falling on a toddler in the gif. It appears that the TBS Champion wants to say that her holidays are ruined due to this massive loss.

AEW star Mercedes Mone on moving on from her Sasha Banks persona

Mone was under WWE's banner from 2012 to 2022. She was known as Sasha Banks and was one of the most successful names in the women's division, having won the WWE Women's Championship multiple times.

The CEO recently appeared on the Marking Out podcast. In this interview, she revealed that it was hard for her to move on from her Sasha Banks persona. It took her a while to fit into her All Elite Wrestling character. Furthermore, she was constantly making sure that her new gimmick was very different from her previous one.

"I feel like my first couple months with AEW, I was just still trying to figure out who was Mercedes Mone and make sure it wasn’t Sasha Banks.....I wanted her to be very, very different so people didn’t want to compare,” she said. [H/T: Wrestling News]

Mone's 2026 will hopefully be as good or better than her 2025. Only time will tell what the future holds for her.
