Melania Trump reportedly threatened to punish models at Mar-a-Lago Christmas party if they secretly clicked photos of Barron Trump 

A new Daily Mail report claimed that First Lady Melania Trump reportedly threatened to punish models for secretly taking pictures of her son, Barron Trump, at the Mar-a-Lago Christmas party in Florida. The report, dated January 2, 2026, stated that the First Lady was considering a possible ban for two models, Valeria Sokolova and Abla Sofy, after they snapped pictures of her only son with President Donald Trump.

According to The List, Sokolova's Instagram post about the Christmas Eve party includes a few clips of Barron Trump in the background. In one picture, he is seen towering over his father as they walk towards their table (Barron is 6 ft 9 in). In another clip, he was spotted talking and laughing with his family.

Insiders reportedly told gossip columnist Rob Shuter that the models' Mar-a-Lago memberships were threatened to be revoked after they were caught taking pictures of the 19-year-old.

"Melania made it very clear that Barron's privacy is non-negotiable. Anyone caught filming or taking pictures would face immediate consequences, including potential banning from the club," one source said.

Another source added:

"The message was clear: no cameras, no leaks. Private family moments stay private."

Barron Trump was spotted at both the Christmas party and New Year's Eve celebration with his family after being absent from the public eye for a while. One source claimed that the 19-year-old stayed beside his father during the New Year's Eve celebrations and was "quite" and "very reserved."

According to The Daily Beast, Barron Trump, the youngest of Trump's five children, arrived separately from his parents but sat with them during the festivities. Rapper Vanilla Ice was reportedly one of the performers at the party, and he sang his famous song Ice Ice Baby. The celebration also included a charity auction, where a speed-painted portrait of Jesus by artist Vanessa Horabuena was sold for $2.75 million.

A New York Times article dated December 10, 2025, claimed that Barron Trump maintained a friendly relationship with Andrew Tate, who has been accused of human trafficking and r*pe with his brother, Tristan, in Romania. For those uninformed, the Tate brothers were ordered to remain in Romania during the investigation.

However, in February 2025, the travel restrictions were lifted, and the brothers returned to Florida. The Times obtained a message that Andrew Tate sent in January 2025, which suggested that the brothers' release was facilitated by the Trump administration.

“I had word from The Trump admin that theyre on top of things. Ive been told ill be free soon but Trump needs to see me in Miami," the message read.

Additionally, Justin Waller, a mutual friend of Barron Trump and Andrew Tate, told The New York Times that the 19-year-old "admired" Tate and spoke to him over Zoom in 2024. Waller, who claimed to be on the call with them, said they all came to the conclusion that the investigation in Romania was an effort to silence the Tate brothers.

Waller, who told The Times that he was seen as the Tates' “third brother,” tried to be a “big brother” to Barron by visiting Mar-a-Lago and talking to him about dating. He further added that Barron was "not a bad ally to have — let’s be frank."
