Seasoned Australian batter Usman Khawaja announced his retirement from international cricket on Friday, January 2. The last Test of Ashes 2025-26, which starts at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) from January 4, will be the batter's farewell game for Australia. Incidentally, the southpaw began his Test career at the same venue against the same opposition in January 2011.

The 39-year-old was dismissed for two in the first Ashes 2025-26 Test in Perth. He was subsequently unavailable for the Brisbane Test due to back spasms. Khawaja was initially not part of the playing XI in Adelaide, but was drafted in after Steve Smith was ruled out due to vertigo. He scored 82 & 40 in the Test match, but struggled in the Boxing Day Test, registering scores of 29 & 0.

With Khawaja confirming his decision to retire from international cricket, we compare his Test stats with those of Rohit Sharma. Since Rohit played 67 Tests during his career, we compare his stats with those of Khawaja after the Australian batter had also played the same number of Test matches.
