The sudden passing of longtime Colts owner Jim Irsay has sent shockwaves throughout the sports world.
Irsay died at 65, leaving behind a legacy of over 40 years working with the Colts organization. He became the franchise's owner at 37 years old, succeeding his father, Robert, who died in 1997.
28 years later, Jim Irsay's death places the franchise in a similar position, with ownership of the franchise being transferred to Irsay's daughters. The transition should be relatively organic, as each daughter has had a role with the franchise for over a decade.
