Max Verstappen reacts as Kelly Piquet posts heartwarming family pictures to cap off "year of big changes”

Max Verstappen's girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, took to Instagram and shared a carousel of 20 images as she bid farewell to 2025. The Red Bull star took to the comments section and reacted to the Brazilian model's heartwarming family pictures.

Max Verstappen's had an eventful on-track and off-track 2025. The Dutchman had a struggling start to the 2025 season, but came on strong towards the end, making up the 104-point gap to the championship leader and ending up as the runner-up, just two points behind the champion Lando Norris.

On the personal side, the Dutchman and his girlfriend Kelly Piquet welcomed their first daughter into the world in April 2025, who they named Lily. The couple adopted a puppy named Nino and the Brazilian made her second appearance as the Vogue cover model.

Kelly Piquet uploaded a post on Instagram on the last day of 2025 and shared family images, as she reflected on a year of big changes. The second slide was Max Verstappen embracing his girlfriend during Parc Ferme. The sixth slide was the Red Bull driver petting Nino and Donut, and the seventh was Kelly with her father, Nelson Piquet.

There was an image of Verstappen with Lily. One of the last images was from the Sardinia trip that Max Verstappen, Kelly Piquet, and their family took during the F1 summer break. The caption of the post read,

“2025 A year of big changes. Welcoming my second baby, a new home, Nino's arrival, not one but TWO very special baby showers, my second Vogue cover, unforgettable moments with family and friends, exciting work opportunities... as well as challenges, exhaustion, and growth. Closing the year grateful, a little tired, and ready for 2026.”

Max Verstappen took the comments section of the post and responded with,

“❤️❤️❤️❤️”

The Dutchman's sister, Victoria Verstappen, also commented as she wrote,

“Cant wait for next year! ❤️”

Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet announced the Brazilian model's pregnancy after the 2024 season ended. Just days before the 2025 Miami GP, Lily Verstappen was born. Verstappen's girlfriend shared a whole family picture with Penelope and Lily in front of a Christmas tree with a caption that read,

“Lily's first Christmas and the first as a family of four The family I always dreamed of. This time of year can feel loud for some and very quiet for others. Whether you're celebrating, surviving, missing someone, or simply taking a breath... I'm sending warmth and kindness your way. However this season looks for you, it's valid and you're not alone.”

The Dutchman has hinted at early retirement multiple times in the past and came out earlier this year suggesting that he missed spending time with his family.
