Loreal Sarkisian is in Central Florida for the Citrus Bowl game between the Texas Longhorns and Michigan Wolverines. She is sporting an all-denim look for the showdown.

Loreal is a regular at Texas games where she cheers for her husband, Steve and the Longhorns. She is fondly referred to as the First Lady of Texas Longhorns football.

Steve Sarkisian credited Loreal Sarkisian for keeping the Texas job

Steve Sarkisian has been the head coach of the Texas Longhorns since the 2021 season. However, the story could have been much different if not for his wife, Loreal.

According to Sports Illustrated, Sarkisian had cold feet when approached by the Longhorns in 2021. He was the Alabama offensive coordinator and wasn't too keen on moving cities. That was until Loreal intervened,

"My wife is like, ’ What’s the hang up...' I am just trying to wrap my brain around living in another small college town. In my mind, I have this vision of brown and tumbleweeds." "Mind you, I have never been to Austin a day in my life. The whole interview process was done over Zoom... I am thinking I’m going to Lubbock!" "So, she googles it, and I am seeing cars, traffic, and buildings! I thought it was horse and buggy! I had no idea. So, boom, that’s it! I take the job."

Steve Sarkisian took the gig, and the rest is history. The Texas Longhorns have been to the College Football Playoffs twice under his guidance. Furthermore, the program is now one of the most respected in college football.
