Matthew Golden could bring bad news to the Green Bay Packers, as they prepare to face the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday in a duel that has extra additives considering the recent story between these two teams. The rookie wide receiver has had a decent 2025 season, although he had discreet performances in his last two games.
Golden is a solid option for fantasy managers ahead of Week 10, but his evolution will play a key role in whether the Packers' rookie can make an impact on the field and on fantasy football.

Matthew Golden suffered a shoulder injury that forced him to leave the Carolina Panthers duel on Sunday. The Packers lost 16-13 against a seemingly weaker team and many feared they could have lost Golden, too. Matt LaFleur said Monday that Golden's issue wasn't a long-term concern, labeling it as day-to-day instead of week-to-week.

The Packers returned to practice on Thursday, with Golden, Colby Wooden and Aaron Banks practicing after leaving Sunday's game early, Matt Schneideman reported.
Golden was on the field for 24 snaps, posting two catches for nine yards. His availability will be determined by his evolution this week.
Should fantasy managers be concerned about Matthew Golden?
Again, this will depend on how Golden evolves. While LaFleur said Golden would be limited in practice, he insisted that the offense will try to find ways to involve him more.
With tight end Tucker Kraft out for the season, the Packers will need to see more from the rest of the pass catchers.
“Everybody has to pull a little bit more, do a little bit more. It's just not going to go on one position group. We need it from everybody, from the guys up front to our runners, receivers, and our quarterbacks,” LaFleur said.Matthew Golden has caught 23 passes on 29 targets, posting 262 yards in eight games with the Packers. He has been unable to make the desired impact on the Packers, but his numbers should go up with Kraft out for the season.
They will clash against the Eagles after losing twice against them in 2024. The Packers were the ones behind the attempt to ban the controversial "tush push," creating some sort of rivalry with the Eagles.
Golden has yet to have his breakout performance, and if he's healthy to go, Monday's duel would be a great opportunity to do so.
