Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene responded after President Trump withdrew his support. On Friday, the POTUS announced that he would no longer support MTG. The Congresswoman from Georgia, once a strong ally of Donald Trump, has recently questioned the White House’s focus on foreign policy over domestic issues.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has also been pushing to release the Epstein files. President Trump’s announcement came hours after Greene told Politico that attempting to block the release of the Epstein files "is insanely the wrong direction to go." In his Truth Social post, Trump wrote,
"I am withdrawing my support and Endorsement of “Congresswoman” Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the Great State of Georgia. Over the past few weeks, despite my creating Record Achievements for our Country...all I see “Wacky” Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!"🚨BREAKING: Donald Trump just revoked his support for Marjorie Taylor Greene. He called her a “lunatic” and “far left” adding that if someone primaries her, he will endorse them. Trump is completely spiraling right now. The MAGA civil war just got even worse!
The President added that Marjorie Taylor Greene also complained that he was not returning her calls. Noting his responsibilities as the President, he commented that he cannot respond to "a ranting lunatic’s call every day."
Later in the day, MTG shared a lengthy post on her X account and accused President Trump of lying.
"President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today," she wrote. She further claimed that her insistence on the release of Epstein files might have disappointed the POTUS.
"Apparently this is what sent him over the edge. The Epstein files. And of course he’s coming after me hard to make an example to scare all the other Republicans before next weeks vote to release the Epstein files... It’s astonishing really how hard he’s fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out that he actually goes to this level," the Congresswoman said.Marjorie Taylor Greene shares a text message she seemingly sent to President Trump
In her Friday post, the Congresswoman claimed she did not call Donald Trump but instead sent him a message regarding the release of the Epstein files. Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a screenshot of a text message she seemingly sent to the POTUS, which read:
"Check the flight logs of Epstein's plane. Bill Clinton is on there like 26 times! Hillary too!! For many of us releasing, the Epstein files has always been for the women who were victims of Jeffrey Epstein, but also because we believed that Democrat bad guys like the Clintons were entangled and involved with him. Epstein was the spider that wove the web of the deep state. Lean into it."She also shared another screenshot of a text message that she sent to a person named Natalie. In the message, she wrote that she had always "defended" the President in her interviews.
In the message, she highlighted that "many of them" voted for Donald Trump. The Republican leader concluded the message, saying what happened with those women "is not a hoax." MTG added that she had said it "over and over" that she had talked to Epstein victims, and they told her that Donald Trump "did nothing wrong."
Marjorie Taylor Greene also said she voted for Trump because she wanted him to show his dedication in fighting for people "who are fed up with foreign wars and foreign causes" and struggling to "feed their families."
"I have supported President Trump with too much of my precious time, too much of my own money, and fought harder for him even when almost all other Republicans turned their back and denounced him... But I don’t worship or serve Donald Trump," she added.Earlier, on November 11, President Trump addressed Marjorie Taylor Greene’s criticism of the government for allegedly overlooking domestic priorities. In a press conference, he said that MTG "has lost her way," and he has to view the presidency as a "worldwide situation, not locally."
