Maple Leafs prospect Tinus-Luc Koblar is a name to know for Toronto's future

Tinus-Luc Koblar is making himself a name that Toronto Maple Leafs fans should know.

Currently playing for Norway at the IIHF World Championships, Koblar is a promising prospect who could have a future at the NHL level.

Koblar was the No. 64 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft by the Leafs. He'll turn 19 years old in July, and he's a left-shot right winger.

Prior to this season, Koblar had only played in the junior ranks in Sweden.

This season, he was promoted to the senior club of Leksands IF, and he played 47 games in the Swedish Hockey League.

In those 47 games, all played at just 18 years old, Koblar scored eight goals and notched six assists for 14 points.

That's a promising return for a teenager in the SHL, and it's got to be encouraging for the Leafs that they made a quality selection when they chose Koblar a year ago.

Having a really nice tournament so far following a solid first season in the top Swedish league -- Both his parents were three time Olympic athletes, really interesting prospect to keep an eye on. https://t.co/lwBPEphFyd

Toronto probably won't be in a rush to bring Koblar to North America. There's nothing wrong with allowing him to find his way further in the SHL.

It's looking more likely, though, that Koblar will eventually get the call this way, maybe first to the Marlies in the AHL and then they'd hope after that to the Maple Leafs. He's definitely someone to keep an eye on.
