A Chinese-American sought for the murder of his 76-year-old mother last week was nabbed by US Marshals while holed up in an upstate motel on Christmas Eve, authorities said.

Wei Hou, 41, who allegedly bludgeoned mom Zhu Hou to death during a Dec. 18 family spat inside her home in Knickerbocker Village on the Lower East Side, was tracked to the Castle Inn in Schodack, just south of Albany, and taken into custody after a brief standoff, the marshals service said.

Zhu Hou’s body was found Dec. 19 next to a bloodied skateboard, sources previously told The Post.

“[Wei] Hou is a naturalized US citizen who was born in China,” the US Marshals statement read. “Hou had a lengthy criminal history in multiple states and was under the supervision of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision for a felony narcotics conviction at the time of his arrest.”

State records show that Wei Hou was sentenced to up to two years in prison on a conviction for third-degree possession of a controlled substance, but was released on Oct. 14 after serving just four months.

Cops found his mother’s battered body in the hallway of her seventh-floor apartment after the victim’s oldest son called 911, according to police and sources.

Sources said Wei Hou had previously clashed with his elderly mother before the fatal argument last week.

Wei Hou had been sought on second-degree murder charges and had threatened to harm himself during the standoff, the US Marshals said.

The suspect was being treated for unspecified injuries sustained during his arrest, but was due to be turned over to the NYPD late Wednesday.

Cops referred all questions about the arrest to the US Marshals.
