Manchester United will attempt to break further new ground under Ruben Amorim by winning a fourth Premier League game in a row when they visit relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Amidst their current three-match run, the Red Devils won away at Liverpool for the first time since 2016 while victories against Sunderland and Brighton have furthered the sudden injection of positivity around Old Trafford.

It is the first time under their current manager that Man United have won three Premier League matches or more in a row, something all five managers prior to him managed to accomplish at least twice.

Forest, meanwhile, are hoping to show improvement of their own under new manager Sean Dyche. They were beaten 2-0 by Bournemouth on the weekend in Dyche's debut in charge, but on the whole did well to limit chances and grasp the new manager's concepts.

Man United team news

After winning back-to-back league games for the first time, Amorim made two changes to the side that won at Anfield.

Merseyside matchwinner Harry Maguire is out with a knock, meaning another start for Leny Yoro is likely. Casemiro should partner with Bruno Fernandes in midfield, with Amad Diallo finally finding his way out wide at wing-back.

In attack, the new summer signing of Benjamin Sesko will continue at striker, supported by Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, although Mason Mount could rotate back in after coming off the bench against Brighton last time out.

Man United injury list

Below is the latest injury picture for Man United, and estimated return dates for those who are sidelined.

Harry Maguire

  • Injury: Knock (unspecified)
  • Expected return date: November 8, 2025

After his Anfield heroics, Maguire missed out on a hero's reception at Old Trafford, but isn't expected to be out for too long. "We had some issues during the week with Harry Maguire...Knocks, but nothing serious," Amorim said at his pre-match news conference.

Unfortunately, it sounds as if he will miss out this time around before a potential return against Tottenham the following weekend.

Lisandro Martinez

  • Injury: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear (left knee)
  • Expected return date: November 2025

Martinez has been out of action since suffering another serious knee injury back in February. The Argentina international has finally returned to training this week after a minor setback in his recovery pushed back his potential return.

A return to action sometime in November, either before or after the international break, has been pencilled in, but he will still need time to work back to full match fitness before being ready to take the field.
