Manchester City and Manchester United head into the 197th Manchester derby with plenty of questions to answer.
City have lost two of their first three matches in a Premier League season for the first time since 2004/05, following back-to-back losses against Tottenham and Brighton.
United head into the derby a point ahead of their rivals, having won for the first time this season at the fourth time of asking against Burnley in the international break.
One point from their first two Premier League games and a humiliating penalty shoot-out defeat to League Two Grimsby Town in the Cababao Cup means the jury remains out on Ruben Amorim's side.
Going back to Erik ten Hag's tenure, United have not tasted defeat in their past four matches against City, although this run does feature a 1-1 draw in the 2024 Community Shield that City went on to win on penalties.
