Manchester City faced a crushing defeat against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final on May 17 at Wembley Stadium, missing out on their last hope of silverware this season.
Man City slipped up in the Premier League title run, along with their elimination from the EFL Cup and the Champions League. They currently stand sixth in the league table with 65 points and two matches remaining.
Now, with their defeat in the FA Cup final, Pep Guardiola's squad will be fighting for a top-five finish in the Premier League to ensure a Champions League spot for the next campaign.
Man City also dealt with several injuries, keeping key players out of action for the better part of the ongoing season. With their decline in form, many have anticipated major changes to take place at the Etihad for a better run next season.
Speaking after Man City's loss in the FA Cup final, Bernardo Silva addressed their underwhelming performances this season, and claimed 'something has to change next year.'
What did Bernardo Silva say about changes required at Man City for next season?
Silva spoke (comments via Manchester Evening News)about how Man City need 'change' to turn things around, but refused to share his 'opinion,' leaving the decisions for the 'big bosses.'
"I have my opinion, I'm not going to give it to you. It's for the big bosses to decide. As I said, I have my opinion, but definitely something needs to change when you don't perform at this level," said Silva.

When asked if the changes are required, are in with the staff, players, the mindset, or the mentality of the squad, Silva mentioned it to be 'a bit of everything,' while still refraining from sharing his opinion.
"I'd say a bit of everything because I don't want to say what's in my opinion. But yeah, the season was not good for many reasons. It's a tough season for us. It's a really, really bad season for us. Something has to change next year," he responded.
Silva and City are set to return to Premier League action on May 20 against Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium. It remains to be seen if and what changes Guardiola & Co. witness this summer.
