Michael Porter Jr. has been having a career season with the Brooklyn Nets, igniting talks about the possibility of him being an All-Star this year. On Tuesday, Porter Jr. got a major endorsement from a YouTuber, who offered fans who will vote for the Nets star some financial gain.

Social media personality SteveWillDoIt’s asked fans to vote for Porter Jr. to be an All-Star on his Instagram story, saying that he would give everyone who obliged with $1000 worth of bitcoin. Porter Jr. reposted the call and showed how he felt about it.

"make u a quick 1k real quick," the Nets' sharpshooter wrote with two laughing emojis.

The post included tips on how to boost fans' votes during the All-Star voting period, which started on Dec. 17 and will end on Jan. 14.

Porter Jr. is leading the Nets this season, averaging a team-high 25.8 points per game, along with 7.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. He is also shooting 49.5 percent from the field on career-high 18.5 attempts per game, including 41.0 percent from the 3-point line.

However, his production has not translated to wins as the Nets are currently in the 13th spot in the Eastern Conference with a 10-20 record.

Porter Jr. was traded to Brooklyn last offseason after a six-year run with the Denver Nuggets, which included him winning an NBA championship in 2023.

Being an All-Star is a dream for Michael Porter Jr.

Michael Porter Jr. has once reached the top of the NBA when he won a championship with the Nuggets nearly three years ago. Now, he is shooting for his All-Star dreams.

In his interview with the New York Post, Porter Jr. said it will be a "dream come true" if he ever gets chosen to be an All-Star.

"It'd be like a dream come true," he said. "It was a thought in my mind as a kid to make the NBA, but not only be in the NBA but one of the best players in the NBA, and an All-Star selection shows that progress,"

Just like in the past years, the league will be choosing 12 All-Star players from each conference to create three teams of eight players.

If he makes it, Porter Jr. will be the first player from Brooklyn to be named an All-Star since Kevin Durant in 2022.
