A recently returned WWE star has now spoken up about his return and what his future is in wrestling. He finally returned after five years away.

Matt Cardona aka Zack Ryder has spoken about what it took to get back to WWE and his future in the company

Ryder returned in the Last Time Is Now tournament to face LA Knight. He lost the match to be John Cena's last-ever opponent.

Zack Ryder said thjat it had been five years since he last put on Zack Ryder boots before this match. He said that every morning, the first thing that he did before he opened his eyes was he wondered what he had to do to get back to WWE. He wondered it every morning and he worked hard for all of it for the last half a decade.

He said that every character he worked over the last five years had been for this one shot. He added that he did not know if this had been a one-time shot or if he would get a call for a more permanent return later, but it did not matter, because at the end of the day, he was Zack Ryder and he was always ready. He ended with his famous catchphrase.

"Five years. It's been five years since I put on Zack Ryder bootss. Every morning, the first thing I do before I even open my damn eyes, is how, can I get back here? What do I have to do to get back here. I busted my a** for the past five years. Death Match King, Indie God, the Complete, all for this moment. This might be a one time shot. I might get a call tomorrow. It does not matter. Because I'm Zack Ryder. I'm always ready. And I guess you could say this, Woo, Woo, Woo, You know it."

LA Knight spoke to Matt Cardona aka Zack Ryder after WWE RAW

LA Knight approached Zack Ryder backstage after the WWE match as well. He said that he did not know if this was him welcoming the star back on a permanent basis to the promotion or if this would be a see you later again for him, but he enjoyed wrestling the star and said good stuff.

"I don't know if it's a welcome back, or if it's a see you later, but all I can say is, YEAH, good stuff."

For the moment, Cardona's exact future is yet to be determined, but the coming weeks should reveal more anyway.
