Luka Doncic has revealed his and LeBron James' role in the Los Angeles Lakers' series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Lakers bounced back in game 2 with a 94-85 win, having lost game 1 95-117.

Doncic has been at the forefront of the team's performances, scoring 68 points across the two games. He scored 31 points and managed nine assists in game 2.

As for LeBron James, he has been good but not at his best. James has managed 40 points in the two games of the series, including 21 points and seven assists in game 2.

James might be conserving himself for the later parts of the playoffs. Doncic, however, has been taking centre stage. The Slovenian has now revealed that his and James' role in the Lakers' success lies beyond their on-court performances. He suggested that they also need to keep the team together, as Doncic expects tough competition on the Timberwolves' home soil.

Speaking after the game 2 win, he said, "Me and Bron, leaders of the team, we gotta keep the team together. Like I said, going to Minnesota, it's going to be a war. The fans are gonna be cheering like crazy. So, no matter what, we can't panic. We gotta stay together and that's for me and Bron to keep the team together."

Playing on away territory hasn't been easy for JJ Reddick's side this season. They are 19-22 on the road and struggled throughout the regular season. Something needs to change in the playoffs, and in front of a vibrant Minnesota crowd, it won't be easy.
