Lousy Western Conference team showing interest in Celtics $60 million All-Star

Kristaps Porzingis of the Boston Celtics is one of the top names to watch on the trade market this offseason.

Porzingis, one of the better centers in the NBA, did what he had to do in Boston. Ultimately, while the star didn't have the best year this past season due to his undisclosed illness and the nagging injuries he’s dealt with throughout his career, they won a championship with him on the roster.

If the Celtics could make that trade again, they likely would.

All good things must come to an end, however, and trading Porzingis is one of the easier things to do.

Teams around the league will likely be a bit worried about his injury history, but he’s still a legitimate top-three starter in the NBA with All-Star potential if he's healthy.

The center averaged 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and shot 48.3% from the field and 41.2% from 3-point range last season.

According to a recent report, another team is interested in acquiring him.

According to Jake Fischer, the Phoenix Suns have done some “background work” on Porzingis, adding that the Celtics are expected to trade him.

“I’ve also heard that Phoenix has done some background work on Kristaps Porziņģis with Boston known to be exploring its trade options up and down the roster. Sources say you can likewise add Phoenix to the list of teams that had been hoping to elbow its way into Myles Turner's free agency this summer,” Fischer wrote.

It's tough to find the perfect return for Porzingis in a deal with the Suns.

However, this could be a three-team trade involving other assets being exchanged elsewhere.

If the Celtics receive a decent player and some draft picks in return, it’d be an easy trade to make.
