Williams' career has been quite injury-prone. He suffered a collarbone injury in October 2024, finishing his senior season at Ball High, which delayed his baseball 2025 debut until the 24th game of the Spring season.

On the football side, during fall camp, he suffered a hamstring injury that kept him out of the season opener against Ohio State. Williams made his collegiate football debut in Week 3 against Sam Houston State but remained limited for the rest of the season.
