A Long Island judge blocked local cops from releasing bodycam footage of Justin Timberlake’s 2024 drunk driving arrest in the Hamptons — for now.
Acting Suffolk County Judge Joseph Farneti issued a temporary restraining order Thursday but told the village of Sag Harbor to offer their argument by April 9 on why releasing footage of the “Justified” singer’s arrest would be justified, newly released court filings show.
Justin Timberlake urges drivers not to get behind the wheel after even a single alcoholic drink in Sag Harbor. APThe former NSYNC front man, 45, lodged a lawsuit Monday to block the release of the footage, claiming it was an invasion of his privacy and that its release would “cause severe” harm to his reputation.
The lawsuit also claims the footage would show Timberlake in an “acutely vulnerable state” during his encounter with village police after he partied at the posh American Hotel.
His police arrest photo, which showed him glassy-eyed, instantly went viral.
The “SexyBack” singer’s embarrassing June 18, 2024 arrest was settled months later when he agreed to perform community service and issue a public apology as part of a plea deal.
He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of driving while impaired instead of the more serious charge of driving while intoxicated.

Lawyers for Sag Harbor declined comment Thursday.
An email to Timberlake’s legal team was not immediately returned.
