Former WWE star Sonya Deville recently shed light on a surprising incident involving Liv Morgan. The Judgment Day member allegedly got into a legitimate scuffle during a promo class back in the day.
Former WWE star Lana welcomed Sonya Deville as her guest on the second episode of her newly launched podcast, Identity Crisis. During the conversation, the former leader of Pure Fusion Collective recalled Liv Morgan and former WWE NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose getting into a fight.
Deville disclosed that the two stars were supposed to do a pull-apart promo with her, Aliyah, and Vanessa Borne in the middle to pull them apart. However, the training soon turned into a full-blown brawl.
"So they're doing a pull-apart. Me, Aliyah, Danielle Kamela [Vanessa Borne] — we were the three people to pull them apart… I'm in the middle of the two of them, and they're doing it, and it feels normal at first. Then I'm feeling wind whiz past my ear, and I'm like, 'Yo, they're really throwing.' And then I hear one of them say, 'What, b*tch?' Then I look — Aliyah's gone. Danielle's gone. They bounced because now it is a scramble, and I'm in the middle. I'm shooting on both of them to get them off each other. Mandy [Rose] had Gionna's [Liv Morgan] hair, Gionna had Mandy's hair, and they're screaming at each other and swinging for the fences," Deville said.Sonya Deville added that things got so intense that male stars and the coaches had to intervene and pull them apart. But the two continued cursing at each other. She opined that it was a case of one performer getting a legitimate shot in and the other just retaliating.
"Finally, the boys slide in to help me rip them apart. They get in the ring. We get them apart. They slide out. Coaches are yelling. [Matt] Bloom comes in, and everyone's freaking out. Mandy was so proud at the time that she didn't have hair extensions back then. So [Liv] rolls out, and she's like, 'You pulled my hair.' And Mandy goes, 'At least my hair is real, b*tch.' And they're just f*cking each other up now, cursing each other out… The coaches came in and gave a big speech… I think one swung a little too snug, and the other retaliated," Deville added. Liv Morgan could return to WWE RAW very soon
Liv Morgan was sidelined due to a shoulder injury she sustained during her singles match against Kairi Sane on the June 16 edition of Monday Night RAW. The former Women's World Champion has been absent from the red brand ever since.
Despite her absence from weekly television, Liv Morgan has recently made several public appearances, leading to speculations of her return from injury. She was a part of WWE's WrestleMania 43 announcement last month. The 31-year-old also attended the Stranger Things 5 premiere last week.
The timeline for Liv Morgan's return is reportedly close to the Royal Rumble. It will be intriguing to see if the former WWE Women's Champion enters the 30-woman match as a surprise entrant.
