LeBron James, 41, made the biggest roster move of the offseason on July 24, signing a two-year, $8 million veteran-minimum deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.
For the James family, it means packing up and heading back East. For Savannah James, it means doing what she has always done, which is adapting.
On the “Question Everything” podcast, the 39-year-old got candid about what she has learned being married to one of the most recognizable names on the planet.
"I've known him more than I've been alive, if that makes sense," she said, noting she crossed paths with LeBron when she was 16. The two married on Sept. 2013, and share three children -- Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri.
When it comes to managing that high-profile lifestyle, her biggest piece of advice is to never lose your own identity.
"My advice would be something that I didn't do earlier that I wish I would have done -- to pay attention to yourself as much as you're paying attention to your partner," Savannah explained. "Don't lose yourself in all the things. Don't lose yourself in the babies, if they come. Don't lose yourself in the facade of what all of this looks like. Try to stay grounded."
She emphasized the importance of staying authentic, adding, "If I could give any advice, I would just say to stay grounded and stay intentional with who you are, who your partner is, and how you guys got to be -- to get to this point and just support each other through the evolution of it.
According to her, the entire foundation rests on having absolute confidence in the relationship. When an individual feels completely certain about a companion and stays dedicated to supporting that high-profile athletic career, she noted that "it just kind of works."
With LeBron now heading to Philly for his fifth ring, Savannah's playbook faces another transition. A new city and a new fanbase are waiting, but she remains the same NBA wife, navigating a partnership she has been fine-tuning for over two decades.
