The LA Lakers game against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday was intense. It was physical, gritty and got LeBron James heated at one point. During the third quarter, things escalated between James and Suns forward Dillon Brooks. The situation was deciphered by a content creator on YouTube.

It all happened when Brooks tried to do a mid-range fadeaway while James was guarding him. Luka Doncic came to help on defense and fouled the Suns player. As the ball went down, he smacked the ball and it ended up hitting the four-time champion on the shoulder. He immediately got heated and started confronting his opponent.

The YouTube channel Tippernaught Sports decoded what happened during the heated situation.

“Get the f**k out with that bulls**t,” he told Brooks.

When the referee tried to separate James from Brooks, the Lakers star continued to bring up how Brooks hit him with the ball.

“He spiked the ball on my f**king head.”

The Lakers star also made unnecessary contact with the referee, as he grabbed his arms. The play was reviewed, and the officials ruled it an unintentional action from Brooks. James, on the other hand, was given a technical foul for being unsportsmanlike.

Later in the fourth quarter, the heated situation between James and Brooks did not stop. The Suns forward had a wide-open shot from long range, which gave the Suns a 114-113 advantage. As he tried to shoot, the Lakers star contested and made contact with his rival.

Brooks thought it was a foul, but the referees thought otherwise. He became upset and went chest-to-chest with LeBron James. Eventually, he was given his second technical foul and was ejected from the game.

LeBron James talked about his squabble with Dillon Brooks

Whatever team Dillon Brooks is playing for, he still finds a way to get under LeBron James' skin. It wasn't different in Sunday's matchup as the two players added another chapter to their rivalry. After the contest, James shared his thoughts on what happened between them.

“We just like to compete. He’s gonna compete, I’m gonna compete, we’re gonna get up in each other’s face. Try not to go borderline with it, I don’t really take it there. But we’re just competing and did that almost all the way until the end of the game.”

LeBron James finished the game with 26 points, three rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks. Brooks, meanwhile, had 18 points on 57.1% shooting from deep for the Suns.

The next time the two teams will face each other will be on Dec. 23 at the Mortgage Matchup Center.
