The Georgia Bulldogs lost a key contributor midway through their game Saturday against Mississippi State.

Tight end Lawson Luckie was working over the middle of the field when Gunner Stockton tossed the ball his way.

The throw wasn't completed, but Luckie took a big hit.

Lawson Luckie injury update

After the big hit over the middle, Luckie remained down while members of the Georgia training staff worked on him, presumably a concussion evaluation.

Luckie eventually stood up and was helped off the field to the medical tent.

Mississippi State's Jahron Manning, a safety, was called for a targeting penalty that got him ejected from the game.

Luckie entered Saturday's game with 10 catches on the season for 81 yards, including three touchdowns.

Georgia took a 24-7 lead into halftime, so the absence of Luckie likely wouldn't impact Saturday's game too much.

The Bulldogs will just want to know that Luckie can heal up for the long run and return to the field as their tight end eventually.
