"Lamar Jackson is checked out": Nick Wright raises major question on Ravens QB over questionable relationship with John Harbaugh

The Baltimore Ravens' consecutive losses to the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers have left the team in a spot of bother with four games remaining in the season.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson hasn't been contributing to the offense to his usual standards over the last weeks as the two-time MVP has just one touchdown pass and two interceptions in consecutive defeats.

Amid Jackson's lackluster outings, NFL analyst Nick Wright raised questions over his relationship with Ravens coach John Harbaugh on "The Bill Simmons Podcast."

"Can somebody please report on whether or not Lamar Jackson and John Harbaugh even talk to each other?" Wright said. "This is the weirdest story in the league.

"Every time Lamar Jackson has suffered an injury in his career, John Harbaugh has had one timeline about when Lamar is going to play and Lamar has had a totally different one," Wright said. "... I think Lamar's checked out."

Jackson, known for his explosive plays, has been sacked five times and has averaged just 25 rushing yards in five games since returning from a hamstring injury.

The Ravens continue to be in the thick of a playoff spot as they trail division rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers by one game in AFC North. Amid the team's pursuit of a postseason spot, NFL insider Bryan Fischer reported that Ravens coach John Harbaugh could be on his way out of the franchise.

Fischer linked Harbaugh to the Michigan Wolverines, who fired former coach Sherrone Moore earlier this week.

"Could another Harbaugh take over in Ann Arbor?" Fischer wrote. "Like his brother, he has tons of ties to the area and the school through his father and fondly enjoyed being along for the ride as an observer two years ago when Michigan won it all. Given how things are going in Baltimore this season, a mutual parting of ways in the NFL to get a soft landing here makes sense."

Harbaugh's team is set to play division rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, on Sunday and will be up against division leaders, the Steelers, in the final game of the regular season.
