Bronny James is back in the G League, at least for the weekend.
LeBron James' son is simply going to have to try and make them of his time away from the Los Angeles Lakers and instead playing for the South Bay Lakers.
Bronny and South Bay took on the Texas Legends on Friday night and won, 127-105.
The second-year pro didn't have an efficient offensive night, but he did stuff the stat sheet.
Bronny's final numbers looked like this:
- 13 points
- 5 rebounds
- 5 assists
- 2 blocks
- 1 steal
- 2 turnovers
- 5-14 FG
- 1-4 3FG
- 1-1 FT
Bronny was a plus-9 in 27 minutes on the floor.
South Bay had a big lead early, and its bench got to play a lot.
Drew Timme led the way with 25 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
Adou Thiero added 19 points on 7-for-8 shooting.
Off the bench, Augustas Marciulionis put up 13 points with 10 assists and seven rebounds.
For the Legends, regular NBA contributor Ryan Nembhard is also down on assignment and had 25 points (8-26 FG) and 14 assists.
South Bay was actually playing the first of a back-to-back in Frisco, Texas against the Legends. They're right back at it in the same matchup on Saturday night.
Bronny is expected to suit up for the G League Lakers again.
