Knicks living on edge as Mitchell Robinson’s free-throw woes could eventually prove too costly

BOSTON – Mitchell Robinson has been in the NBA for seven seasons. All of them were with the Knicks. 

So it can be considered an organizational failure as much as an indictment on Robinson’s lack of progression that, at 27 years old, still can’t hit a foul shot.

After all, he spent 10 months recovering from surgery in the last year, unable to run but certainly capable of standing behind a line and correcting his worst basketball trait.

But Robinson didn’t fix it. His percentage has gotten worse over the years, actually, falling from 60% as a rookie to under 50% combined in the last five seasons.
