Klint Kubiak on the verge of becoming Las Vegas Raiders head coach

It appears a new era of Las Vegas Raiders football is on the horizon with Klint Kubiak as the head coach.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Las Vegas is zeroing in on Kubiak to be its next head coach.

Nothing can become finalized until after the Super Bowl, with Kubiak coordinating the Seattle Seahawks offense in the big game, but all signs point to the bright offensive mind landing with the Raiders.

"The Raiders are targeting #Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak as their new head coach, per me and Tom Pelissero, after Saturday's second interview" Rapoport said on X. "Las Vegas can’t officially hire Kubiak until after Super Bowl LX. But they believe they have their guy."

Kubiak has been the Raiders' top option over the last week, and the franchise is a little over a week away from officially hiring its replacement for Pete Carroll.

In Las Vegas, Kubiak will likely work with quarterback Fernando Mendoza, the Raiders' presumed No. 1 overall pick out of Indiana.

Kubiak has established himself as a high-profile coordinator with the Seahawks this year, taking Seattle's offense to new heights and getting the most out of quarterback Sam Darnold.

He is now set to head to Las Vegas and look to revitalize a Raiders team that has suffered through three straight losing seasons.
