Founded originally as the Kitten Bowl, this annual event invites rescue puppies and kittens onto the gridiron with hopes of finding them homes.

The Kitten Bowl will air on Great American Family. Actor and animal rights activist Beth Stern will host the event.

The Kitten Bowl is scheduled to start at noon ET on Sunday, Feb. 8. The program will run for two hours, ending at 2 p.m. ET.

The annual Puppy Bowl will follow at 2 p.m. ET, airing on Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS and truTV, and Super Bowl 60 will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET.
