Amid the transfer portal being open, the Nebraska Huskers' Kenna Cogill has decided to return to the Cornhuskers volleyball team for the next year. Cogill has joined her fellow teammates, Teraya Sigler, and Ryan Hunter, in returning to the program rather than transferring.

Cogill served as the Huskers' redshirt in her first year at the program. Before joining the Cornhuskers, Cogill served as a blocker at Perry High School in Arizona, where she registered 778 kills and 396 blocks. She received the Arizona Republic All-Arizona honors in 2023 and 2024. Cogill took to Instagram to announce her return to the Big Red volleyball team.

"So blessed for my redshirt season ❤️ thank you so much @huskervb see you next year," Cogill wrote.

Cogill played club volleyball for Arizona Storm with her Huskers teammate Tereya Sigler, who also confirmed her return to the Red and White team.

"The lord has truly blessed me with being a part of such a historic team and coaching staff. Praise Jesus for he is good ALL THE TIME. See yall next year!!! ❤️❤️," Sigler wrote.

Cogill's teammate, Ryan Hunter, also joined Sigler and Cogill, while announcing it on Instagram.

"Redshirt szn ✅ see ya next year@huskervb❤️ #GBR," she wrote.

Former Nebraska libero Lexi Rodriguez expressed her disappointment after the Huskers' Volleyball team's defeat to Texas A&M in the NCAA regional final. The Texas A&M team defeated the Cornhuskers 2-3 on December 14 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center and ended their 33-game win streak. In an interview with Hurrdat Sports Live, Rodriguez reacted to her former team's loss, saying:

“I think, yeah, being able to walk into an arena like Devaney and someone's home crowd like that. You could tell they were confident from right off the bat, but it was pretty cool to see and special for that team, I think, just never being to a final, or not being to a final four in a really long time. Ever, I think. Ever, yeah. It was really cool to see, honestly, but it just sucks that it had to be against Nebraska." (22:59 onwards)

Rodriguez now competes as a libero for LOVB Omaha.
