On Tuesday, the Florida Panthers held a heartfelt pregame ceremony to honor Brad Marchand’s 1,000th NHL career point. Marchand achieved the milestone a month earlier, on November 14, during a game against the Washington Capitals.
The ceremony took place before their game against the Montreal Canadiens at Amerant Bank Arena. It featured video tributes from former teammates and stars like Sidney Crosby, along with presentations of a Tiffany crystal from the NHL, a gold stick, and a plaque from Panthers GM Bill Zito.
Flowers were given to Marchand’s wife, Katrina, and his mother, while gold mini-sticks went to his three children. One standout moment from the event was an adorable father-daughter interaction on the ice, with the Panthers forward surrounded by his family throughout the emotional tribute.
Katrina shared the adorable father-daughter interaction story on her IG, captioning:
"Just chirping Daddy mid-ceremony."
