Kelly Stafford shares 2:30 a.m. video of Matthew Stafford after crushing Rams loss

Matthew Stafford went from down to dad in a hurry on Sunday night.

Just hours after the Rams star suffered a crushing 31-27 loss to the Seahawks in the NFC Championship game in Seattle, he returned to his Los Angeles home and sweetly resumed his fatherly duties.

Video his wife, Kelly, shared on her Instagram page Monday showed the Los Angeles quarterback tip-toed through his daughters’ rooms just after 2 a.m. so he could give them a hug and a kiss goodnight.

“After leaving everything out on that field and coming up short,” Kelly wrote in a caption on one of the videos of Stafford with his kids, “at 2:30 am, this was Matthew.”

In the Nest camera footage Kelly posted, Stafford could be seen going to each one of his girls’ four beds and making sure they were all tucked in for the evening.

It was quite the contrast from what NFL fans had seen earlier, as the 37-year-old signal-caller battled for hours with the Seahawks to try to lift L.A. to another Super Bowl appearance.

He completed 22 of his 35 passes for 374 yards and three touchdowns, and left the field with a bloodied non-throwing hand.

In the immediate aftermath of the game, though, Stafford’s selflessness was on full display, as he waited around to make sure he congratulated his former teammate, Cooper Kupp, on the victory.

Later Monday morning, Kelly showed she and her husband surprised their kids with donuts after they had traveled to Dad’s home and road games throughout the year to cheer him on.

“Thank you for being such rockstars for me all season long!” the couple wrote on the box. “Y’all were the inspiration for daddy’s incredible year! We [love] you!!”

Stafford will have a big decision to make this offseason, as he was noncommittal about returning for 2026 while chatting with reporters in Seattle.

But first, sweet treats and quality time with his loved ones are the clear priority.
