Kai Trump opened up about the first message she would share with her grandfather, Donald Trump, about her outing at The Annika 2025. The 18-year-old amateur golfer competed in her first LPGA Tour event this week. However, it was a tough time for her, and she missed the cut after playing 36 holes.

In the post-round press conference on Friday, Kai Trump was asked about what she would be saying to her grandfather after the event. In response, she said (via ASAP Sports):

"That I hit a great shot on 18 two days in a row."

Kai Trump made pars on the 18th hole in both rounds of The Annika 2025. She started her outing on Thursday with an opening round of 13-over 83. It was a tough time for her on the greens.

She started on the tenth and made bogeys on the first four holes, then ended up making another bogey on the 15th and then on the 17th. On the back nine as well, she struggled and made two double bogeys and three bogeys for a round of 83.

After a tough first round, Trump also had some relief on Friday. She made a birdie on the third and then a bogey on the fourth. She added a double bogey on the fifth hole, followed by a birdie on the seventh and a bogey on the eighth. She made two birdies, two bogeys, and a double bogey on the back nine for a round of 75.

"He's pretty good. We have some tight matches. Yeah, can't say much. Yeah, we have some tight matches."
