Justin Rose family tree: Meet wife Kate, son Leo, daughter Lottie, parents, more to know about golfer's roots

Justin Rose is one of the oldest players in the field each time he takes the course in a major, but age has yet to slow him down.

The former U.S. Open champion remains a regular contender in some of golf's biggest events, even if getting back to the pinnacle has proven to be a massive challenge for the veteran.

Rose is closer to the end of his career than the beginning, but he looks like he still looks like he has plenty more in the tank.

Here's what you need to know about the family supporting Rose, including his wife and children.

Justin Rose wife: Kate Phillips

Rose married his wife, Kate Phillips, in late 2006, so the two have been together for more than two decades when counting the time they spent dating.

Rose and Phillips met in 2000 when Phillips worked for IMG, which represented a much younger Rose at the time. Phillips is from London and attended the University of Sussex, originally competing in gymnastics before starting her career at IMG.

Perhaps one of the reasons Rose's career has aged so well is his good luck charm on the course. Rose uses No. 99 balls as a tribute to Phillips, whose favorite number is nine.

Justin Rose kids

Rose and his wife have two kids: a son and a daughter.

Leo Rose

Rose's son, Leo, was born in 2009 and is the youngest of the couple's two children. While his life has largely remained private, Phillips sometimes posts about her children on social media. When Leo turned 15 in 2024, Phillips wrote that he is the "most original, hilarious, spirited, entrepreneurial, generous, dog loving, fragrance obsessed teen."

Charlotte 'Lottie' Rose

Rose's only daughter, Charlotte "Lottie" Rose, was born in 2012. Charlotte's life is also largely private, but social media posts indicate she is heavily involved in horse riding.

Justin Rose father: Ken Rose

Rose's father, Ken, died in 2002. Ken occasionally served as a caddie for Justin and traveled from tournament to tournament to watch his son play during the early portion of his career.

When Rose won the U.S. Open in 2013, he paid tribute to his dad by pointing his fingers to the sky after his final putt. "You saw me look into the heavens with it being Father's Day," Rose said after the win. "I was just trying to remember my dad."

How did Ken Rose die?

Ken Rose died after a long battle with Leukemia. Rose paid tribute to his father throughout the early months of 2002, revealing to the public that his dad was battling an illness, but Ken did feel well enough to attend some events in the summer even as he struggled with his health. In early September, Ken's death forced Justin to take a brief step back from golf.

Justin Rose mother: Annie Rose

Rose's mother, Annie, is originally from South Africa and relocated to England along with her husband when her son was five years old.

While she keeps her life private, Annie has frequently been seen at her son's tournaments and other major events. She watched with anticipation when her son competed for and won the gold medal at the 2016 Olympics.

"When I was a little girl growing up, who would ever have thought I would have a child who was a gold medalist?" Annie said in 2016, calling the experience "wonderful for all four days."

Justin Rose sister: Margi North

Rose's half-sister, Margi North, is a frequent supporter of his and was in attendance at the 2018 Ryder Cup when her brother competed.

After Rose won the U.S. Open in 2013, a pregnant North joked that she almost went into labor as a result of the adrenaline rush. North also said she remembered Rose playing golf from a young age, noting that she and her mother would walk around the golf course while Rose practiced with his father.
