Julio Rodriguez's girlfriend Jordyn Huitema reacts to Jeremy Pena's partner Julia Grosso's major career decision with Chicago Stars

Jeremy Pena's girlfriend, Julia Grosso, began her professional soccer career with Juventus, an Italian club. In July 2024, the NWSL team Chicago Stars FC (then called Chicago Red Stars) signed Grosso to a three-year deal.

On Tuesday, the Chicago Stars announced on Instagram that Grosso has re-signed with the club through the 2028 NWSL season.

"✶ From Canada, for Chicago ✶ , Julia Grosso re-signs with Chicago Stars FC through 2028! 💫," the caption read.

Shortly after the good news, Julio Rodriguez's girlfriend, Jordyn Huitema, re-shared the post on her Instagram story.

"She's there to stay," Huitema captioned the post. "You've got a good one, Chicago," she added, tagging Grosso.

Huitema and Grosso are teammates for the Canadian women's soccer team. They were part of the squad that won the Gold medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics. It was Grosso who scored the winning penalty kick in the final against Sweden after they were deadlocked 1-1 after extra time.

In their club careers, Grosso and Huitema play for rival teams. Huitema has been playing for the Seattle Reign since June 2022. Before that, she played in Europe for Paris Saint-Germain, a French club.

Jeremy Pena celebrates a major personal milestone with Julia Grosso

On Tuesday, Jeremy Pena celebrated the first anniversary of his relationship with Julia Grosso. For the special occasion, Pena shared a two-snap post on his Instagram. Both snaps were from a soccer stadium as Pena appeared to be there to cheer for his girlfriend.

"In my WAG era. Happy one year Ju❤️‍🔥." Jeremy Pena captioned the post.

Grosso showed love to the Houston Astros star in the comments section.

"The best wag ever 😍🤣," Grosso wrote. "I love you," she added.

Incidentally, both Grosso and Pena suffered dissappointments in their respective 2025 seasons. Pena's Chicago Stars finished bottom of the NWSL points table, missing the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Pena's Astros missed the 2025 season, courtesy of disappointing performances down the stretch. Both the Astros and Detroit Tigers finished with 87 wins, but the latter grabbed the final AL Wild Card spot due to a better head-to-head record.
