NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Suárez has been enjoying the 2025 off-season with his wife, Julia Piquet, overseas. The couple went to the southern part of Brazil ahead of the upcoming season, and Piquet dropped a four-word reaction to Suárez's clip of diving into the sea.

Piquet belongs to a family with a rich history in professional racing. Her father, Nelson Piquet, won the World Driver's Championship title three times during his Formula One career. Also, Suárez's wife has lived in multiple countries throughout her life, including the United Kingdom, the United States, and Brazil. After a couple of years of dating, the couple tied the knot on July 30, 2024, during the Paris Olympics break.

After a rollercoaster year, Daniel Suárez went for a getaway trip to Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, ahead of a major change in the 2026 Cup Series season. The couple also celebrated Christmas in Brazil with their friends. Following that, they went diving in the sea, and Suárez was seen paddleboarding.

Reflecting on that, Julia Piquet dropped a four-word reaction on her husband's clip. She wrote:

"Living his best life 🕺🏽☀️🏝️"

Daniel Suárez had a tough season this year and parted ways with Trackhouse Racing. He drove the #99 Chevy for the team and will be replaced by NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Connor Zilisch. However, ahead of the 2026 Cup Series season, Suarez announced he would join Spire Motorsports.

“I'm not sad for this”: When Daniel Suárez got real about his exit from Trackhouse Racing in the 2026 season

In July 2025, former Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suárez was featured in an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90. During the interaction, the Cup Series driver opened up about his departure from the team and his plans for future endeavors.

Suárez joined Trackhouse Racing in 2021 and has been competing alongside teammate Ross Chastain since then. However, the team acquired a third charter in 2025 and signed New Zealand-based driver Shane van Gisbergen in the #88 Chevy.

Later, during the interview, Daniel Suárez claimed he was not sad about his exit and was prepared for it. He told the press:

“I want to make sure that you guys and all the people listening (know) I'm not sad for this. This is just a new chapter. That's all it is. This is not a sad moment, it's just a change." “This is not something new for me. I have known about this for a while. It just happens to be official today. I'm actually a little bit relieved it's already out and people know about it and we can talk about it and we can move forward with future plans,” he added.

Daniel Suárez has secured two victories, 16 top-five finishes, 43 top-ten finishes, and one pole position in 180 starts in the #99 Chevy. However, he had a tough season in his fifth year with the team. Suárez wrapped the 2025 season in 29th place with only two top-five finishes and no victories.
