Juan Soto’s rare continuity a ‘good feeling’ as overhauled Mets roster settles into place around him

PORT ST. LUCIE — David Stearns and Co. rebuilt the Mets roster this offseason after an ugly 2025.

Finally, on Saturday, the Mets will get their first glance at the new-look roster, with Marcus Semien and Bo Bichette among the newcomers expected to start the Grapefruit League opener against Miami at Clover Park.

And just as important as the fresh faces in the lineup is the presence of Juan Soto, who will also start Saturday, set to enter a second straight full season with the same team for the first time since 2022, his final year with Washington.

“It’s different when you don’t have to change spots every year,’’ Soto said Friday before the Mets worked out at Clover Park. “It’s a good feeling to settle down and know where you’re gonna be for a lot of years. It’s cool. You’re more familiar with everything.”
