Jowon Briggs’ uncanny maturity is exactly what Jets need more of

We should all be as motivated, focused and accomplished as Jowon Briggs.

You often hear coaches say this about a certain favorite player on their team: “I wish I had five more of him.’’

Well, if Jets head coach Aaron Glenn had 15 or 20 more Jowon Briggses on his roster, his team wouldn’t be limping up to Buffalo on Sunday with a 3-13 record to play an utterly meaningless game against the Bills in a season finale neither team would like to play.

Briggs is not a superstar. He doesn’t score touchdowns or make flashy plays. He’s not a headline magnet.
