The Buffalo Bills got a major scare on Thursday night.
Josh Allen took off running and got took taken down from behind.
Allen immediately writhed in pain on the ground.
It wasn’t immediately clear what happened.
Was it a hand? A wrist? An elbow?
Allen walked off with trainers.
The good news appeared then. Allen didn’t go to the blue medical tent.
Instead, he sat on the bench, put on his baseball cap and just had a conversation.
The Bills’ backup quarterback is Mitchell Trubisky.
But since Allen didn’t even go to the tent, maybe he’s fine.
It was a bad injury sequence for Buffalo. Khalil Shakir had just left the game to be evaluated for a concussion.
The Allen injury occurred on third down, so the Bills punted afterward. It meant there wasn’t an immediate answer as to whether Allen would stay in the game.
But the initial appearances seemed much worse than reality.
When the broadcast came back from commercial, Allen was just chilling on the bench next to Trubisky, with no trainers around.
Apparently he’s fine, but that was quite the scare.
