Simone Biles Makes Surprise Appearance With Husband Jonathan Owens at Winter Olympics

Jonathan Owens recently found himself on the defensive end.

Days after making a surprise appearance alongside wife Simone Biles at the 2026 Winter Olympics, the Chicago Bears player shared that he was nearly robbed while out in Milan.

"Not somebody just tried to snatch my shopping bag," he wrote on X Feb. 15, "force of habit i had it tied around my hand so he couldn’t get it and took off running immediately….but still crazy."

In response to a social media user saying that the attempt was an "interesting choice" considering Jonathan's career, the 30-year-old joked that he was not all that worried.

"Not fast at all bro," he replied, "his arms were moving faster than his legs lol Should’ve seen his face once he realized i turned around and he couldn’t grab it."

Plus, Jonathan was more than ready for such a move, agreeing with another user that he should've "tackled" the person in the moment.

"Honestly I know right, but it was no way he could get it off my hand," Jonathan added. "I’ve seen too many TikToks of that happening so i was prepared."

As for Simone, the Olympian proved all was well after, sharing a glimpse at their activities throughout the day.

Indeed, alongside a photo of herself and Owens shopping at the Bottega Veneta boutique in Italy shared to her Instagram Stories, the 28-year-old wrote, “Always spoiling me.”

Simone and Jonathan's latest outings come after the couple attended the men's single skating competition on Feb. 13.

While there, Simone—currently the most decorated U.S. Olympic gymnast—joked that she may not be as smooth on the ice as she is on a beam.

"I can skate,” she told the audience during the event, “but I cannot do anything that these athletes can do out there tonight.”

She added, “I give them all the props. I’m rooting for them. I’m praying for them. I’m just super excited to watch."

Of course, Jonathan and Simone aren't the only spectators at the Milano-Cortina Games. Keep reading to see more celebs in attendance...
