Jonathan Kuminga's minutes have been hovering throughout the season as Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr continues to experiment with his rotation. In a post by the Warriors' social media team, Kuminga seemingly took a jab at Kerr's rotation through a Christmas wish for his teammate.
In the video, Kuminga wished for his teammate Pat Spencer to get more minutes under Kerr after he was asked what Christmas gift he would give him.
“More playing time," the athletic forward said in a quick answer to the social media team's question.•

Spencer has only played 21 games so far this season, averaging 7.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game on 15.5 minutes.
Meanwhile, Kuminga's numbers dipped this season as he only put up 11.8 points, his worst scoring average in the past three years, along with 6.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He has played in 18 games and has started in 13 of them. When he plays, Kuminga logs 24.8 minutes per game.
Kuminga signed a two-year extension with the team last offseason, following a months-long standoff between the front office and the forward.
Despite the extension, he remained one of the top names in the trade market. However, he can only be eligible for a trade on Jan. 15.
Steve Kerr offers empathy in Jonathan Kuminga's situation
Steve Kerr has been honest about Jonathan Kuminga's situation with the team. In his recent appearance on The Tom Helbert Show, Kerr expressed empathy for the player's rough patch with the team.
According to Kerr, honesty would not be enough to address differences with players such as Kuminga. He said that it will need some empathy, too.
“Everybody wants honesty. They don’t want to be pandered to," Kerr said on Kuminga's situation. "They want to know what’s what, but you have to deliver those messages with some empathy. He also compared Kuminga to former Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins, who was traded to the Miami Heat for Jimmy Butler in the middle of last season.
"Andrew Wiggins was in this exact boat a year ago, and Wiggins actually was about to have his third child right at the trade deadline, and his name was floating out there, and we kind of go through this every year,” the Warriors coach said. “But there’s always like a player or two who become the focal point of the trade deadline.”The Warriors are currently at .500 with a 15-15 record to occupy the eighth seed in the Western Conferece.
